Even if time slips away you were always there, and yet I did what I thought was best. That part of you still in my heart to slowly destroy it for all eternity. If only I saw you the way you saw me, it could have been different…it might have been different. Then again maybe it would have ended with you being hurt and my hands being stained with those sins. Thoughts of the past that link people together could never be understood or lost. As I stand under the sun I wonder where you are. What are you doing? Do you still remember the time we spent together and what you taught me? As the sun sinks slowly into distance the timeless void of night will call me back. I guess I’ll sit here waiting…waiting for a hope that will never come or will if it may. If it does I pray that God will let that hope outshine the light that you once gave me…let it shine for all eternity to wipe away the blood and dirt that cover my once white hands and to heal that wound I gave you over two years ago…….to wipe away that indelible sin that still covers my hands.
